Celebrating English Tourism Week

Places to visit all over the country are celebrating this month for English Tourism Week between 15-24 March 2024.

• £88.93 billion was spent on tourism in England in 2022.  The South East attracted £10bn of this spend- second only to London at £24bn. And a good portion of our visitor economy is derived from the London market.

Tourism is vital to the economy:

• Pre-pandemic, the industry supported 2.6 million jobs in England.

And the future?

Inbound visits to Britain are forecast to increase to 37.8 million (92% of the 2019 level and 5% higher than in 2023) and £31.7 billion spend – all this marking a further significant upturn in prospects.

So what about South East Blue and Green Badge Guides?
